The Hard Drive Commute
Computer terms have always borrowed words from everyday life, but "hard drive" might be the only one that sounds like your morning commute. If computers had to report to work every day, this is probably what traffic would look like.
A hard drive is where a computer stores its files, programs, and memories, but the name practically begs for a different interpretation. Suddenly, "Memory Lane," "Merge Files," and "Backup Traffic" all sound like perfectly normal highway signs.
